"My nephew Thomas was so super excited, he one day ran to school- now keep in mind, Thomas has a great reputation for telling stories and just making up stuff to the teacher." (x)

I am happy that awareness is starting, that people are starting to get the message that rape and partner violence are not gendered issues, but issues for all of humanity.
This was a UK campaign, it's great that they were reaching out to UK Male Rape survivors, I just wish they hadn't went with the "REAL MAN" rhetoric.
See, I'm glad they did. Because it shows that being raped doesn't somehow make you any less of a man. You are not suddenly gay, you are not suddenly weak, or subject to ridicule, you are not somehow "less" just because you were raped. You are still a man. And if you are any of the above, if you are gay or weak or whatever, keep in mind that being raped is not due to you being any of the above because even the most manliest of men can and do get raped.
Men who are raped are treated by society as though they do not exist. So yes, men who are raped are real men. They are not invisible. They still exist. And they are victims of a traumatic event that deserve our help just as much as victims of traumatic events who are women.

Really, people?: Why haven't you read All Tomorrows?!
Really, people?: Why haven't you read All Tomorrows?!:All Tomorrows is a Nemo Ramjet adventure in speculative evolution you can read online here. This is likely the third time I've posted about it in the past year, but I'm sure I have a few followers who weren't aware of it.
Our humble author and illustrator, as I seem to recall, thinks it needs serious reworking, so I hope he's not embarrassed here but it remains by far one of my favorite things to read, to say nothing of the artwork.
Everything here is a human.
Their stories are epic, in the traditional sense of the word, and the narrative, which could have so easily been pure existential horror, is sweet and touching to the end.
All Tomorrows has actually been heavily influential on my own approach to writing science fiction. My brother introduced it to me a few years ago after he saw it on your blog, and I have given digital copies of it to every biology professor I have had since I was alerted to it.
I really love the message of this, that it's not the destination but the journey that matters.
Also, I absolutely adore the Modular people.
